CLINTON, S.C. -- Former Presbyterian head coach Tommy Spangler has been promoted to the programs top job once more.Athletic director Brian Reese announced the move Tuesday.Spangle , the teams defensive coordinator the past four seasons, was with the Blue Hose from 1997 through 2006. He spent his first five seasons as a defensive assistant before becoming head coach. Spangler led the team to a 42-24 record in NCAA Division II.Spangler replaces Harold Nichols, who resigned Sunday after eight seasons.Spangler says he was happy about the opportunity to come back to coaching Presbyterian.
