Orca colorways are a staple for the long-running Air Max lineage; It’s everyman-appeal and epically-contrasted makeups have been making statements in monochrome for decades. And, after having received the black and white treatment mere months ago, the Air Max 98 is back with another “Orca” edition.
This time around, the Orca Air Nike Air Presto Femme Max 98 arrives with a black mesh base, and overlays in all-white, save the toe’s black leather panel. Embroidery on the upper arrive tonal across the vamp, and contrasting in the rear, while whites arrive on the aforementioned overlays, as well as the liners, laces, tongues, and midsoles. Air support sit in black, and it all rests upon a two-tone rubber sole unit.
Created by Sergio Lozano in far 1998, Nike Air Max 98 is making a great comeback in 2018. As this year marks the 20th anniversary of the model, the company decided to relaunch the Air Max 98 silhouette just like it did last year with the 97.
Despite Nike Air Max 98 has always suffered from the competition with multiple Air Max sneakers released before the 98s (Air Max 95, Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 97, etc.), and the fact the Nike Air Max Plus, which also was released Nike Air Vapormax Donna that year, made everyone forget about Air Max 98, the 2018 edition of the model has already become one of the main Nike’s events of the year.
During January, February, and March, lots of Air Max 98 colorways were released, including the classic “Gundam”, “Tour Yellow”, “Fossil”, “Gym Red”, basic “Triple White” and some other options. However, it’s not the end.
So, what does this year promise? The company is expected to revive at least 6 other colorways during the spring and summer, and several updates are rumored to come in autumn too.
Classic Black and White palette is Nike Air Max 97 Womens boldly twisted by eye-catching Volt and Racer Blue colors in this Air Max 98. Having made a close look at the model, customers’ opinions divided: some of them were completely satisfied with the external design of the update, while others considered the Volt color Adidas Nmd Donna to look better in the “bubbles” area of the midsole (instead of blue).
