much to do too much or do it faster in a game Antworten

REVEL, France -- Chris Froome had a relatively comfortable and quiet day in the yellow jersey. The overall leader in the Tour de France finished safely in the peloton with all of his main rivals on Tuesday, nearly 10 minutes behind stage winner Michael Matthews of Australia.I wouldnt quite say easy. The start was pretty much straight up with a 22-kilometer (14-mile) climb, Froome said after the 10th stage. But once we dropped down from there it was pretty straightforward.Aiming for his third Tour victory in four years, Froome maintained a 16-second lead over fellow British rider Adam Yates.Dan Martin of Ireland was third overall, 19 seconds behind, and Nairo Quintana of Colombia was fourth, 23 seconds back.A two-time runner-up to Froome at the Tour, Quintana was watched carefully by Froome amid thick fog on the tricky descent from Port dEnvalira, the highest road in the Pyrenees at 2,408 meters (7,900 feet), and the highest point in this Tour. With that mist and not being able to see much, it could have been like the Giro a few years ago when Quintana slipped off the front, Froome said, referring to Quintanas downhill attack en route to his Giro dItalia victory in 2014. I was just keeping an eye on him.Froomes Sky teammates made sure that none of his rivals got in the early breakaway that included Matthews. The guys did a great job keeping me up front just in case things were to kick off. We were right there and ready for it if it did happen, Froome said. Tomorrow, were hoping for a similar day to today, another day we can tick off and get through without too much happening. Ventoux is definitely the next big thing we have our sights on now. After a mostly flat Stage 11, the next mountain-top finish comes on Thursday, Bastille Day, at the legendary Mont Ventoux. A day later, the races first time trial is over a hilly 37.5-kilometer (23.3 mile) course. Those are going to be two really important days for us, Froome said. Nairo has already said he wants to win on Ventoux so we can expect theyre going to give everything for that cause.Froome was also asked about mechanical doping, amid unprecedented checks for tiny, hidden motors in bikes. The more checks they do, the better everyone sleeps at night, Froome said. Someone would have to be pretty crazy to do it in the Tour de France, where they know theyll check for it every day.---Andrew Dampf on Twitter: www.twitter.com/asdampf Bob Uecker Jersey . -- The Sacramento Kings are set to become the first major professional sports franchise to accept Bitcoin virtual currency for ticket and merchandise purchases. Tom Glavine Jersey .Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Kevin Porter and defenceman Chad Ruhwedel from the minors as part of a five-player roster shuffle made by the NHLs worst team. http://www.thebravesteamshop.com/Braves-Dansby-Swanson-Kids-Jersey/ . Francis told several hundred members of the European Olympic Committees that when sport "is considered only in economic terms and consequently for victory at every cost . Nick Markakis Jersey . Vancouver Whitecaps and Toronto FC failed to make the postseason while Montreal Impact fell at the first hurdle losing heavily to Houston Dynamo in the Eastern Conference Knockout Round. Bobby Cox Jersey . Miller finished in two minutes, 6.09 seconds, one day before the first medal race on the Alpine schedule. The 36-year-old American also turned in the top time in Thursdays opening training session. PROVO, Utah -- The honeymoon for BYU offensive coordinator Ty Detmer may be coming to an end. Boos rained down from the stands last week as the offense failed to score 20 points for a third consecutive game.Even the faith in quarterback Taysom Hill appears to be wavering as hes thrown more interceptions (4) than touchdowns (2) while completing just 58.6 percent of his passes.Coach Kalani Sitake said Hill will remain the starter this week after the staff considered benching the senior at halftime of the 17-14 UCLA loss. Backup Tanner Mangum is the better pure passer and set BYU freshman records after Hill was injured in 2015.I know everybody looks at one position and likes to blame it on one person, but there are so many different things that go into it with the quarterback and talking about Taysom, Sitake said. The worst thing you can do is panic and make a change on stuff that youre seeing on the field when its not just that one spot. There are a lot of different variables that go into it: protection, routes and the timing. It would have been a premature decision to make that decision then. Im glad we didnt.Detmer echoed those sentiments. The BYU receivers have not played particularly well, failing to run crisp routes, dropping balls and being stymied by press coverage. Running back Jamaal Williams rushed for 162 yards in the season opener against Arizona, but opponents have loaded up against him and hes managed just 86 total yards in the last two games.Still, Hill hasnt looked like the player who threw for 2,938 yards and ran for 1,344 as a sophomore. When you have a guy like Tanner sitting behind you everyone always wants the new next best thing, Detmer said. The grass is always greener on the other side when things arent going exactly right. After watching the film a couple times you understand at times, hes doing all he can do. Theres always going to be every game a couple throws you want back or a couple decisions you want back. But overall its a team effort. The Cougars (1-2) travel to face West Virginia on Saturday and Detmer plans to simplify things with hopes that will allow Hill and the offense to run ssmoother.ddddddddddddBYUs scoring offense (17.0 points per game) ranks No. 119 in the nation and the 212.3 passing yards per game are tied for No. 78.Guys are maybe pressing now to make plays, Detmer said. So they rush in and out of their routes and dont sell it at times. We miss on a protection. Allow a guy to get an edge because were maybe pressing too much to do too much or do it faster in a game. Maybe Im paralyzing (Hill), paralysis by analysis a little bit where thats not open, and now what? Its going back to maybe simplifying things a little bit and running our base stuff that we know guys know and hes comfortable with and then getting better at those things.West Virginia knows the BYU offense has had its issues, so coach Dana Holgorsen said his team is preparing for both Hill and Mangum. He also noted that it typically takes longer to adjust to a new offense than it does to adjust to a new defense.Everyone says they arent scoring a lot of points, well they are having some misfortunes, West Virginia defensive coordinator Tony Gibson said. Tip balls for interceptions, fumbling at the wrong time, whatever it may be, penalty here or there, so theyre not that far off. Theyve played three pretty good teams and obviously have been competitive all the way down to the end.The odd part is that BYU has shined late in games. The offense put together a nine-play, 53-yard drive for a game-winning field goal against Arizona with four seconds remaining. The Cougars drove 75 yards in 13 plays to score a touchdown against Utah with 18 seconds left, but couldnt convert a two-point conversion for the win. They also went 91 yards for a touchdown in nine plays against UCLA with 37 seconds left.I dont know what it is, if we just start letting loose and letting the ball go and just playing ball, receiver Nick Kurtz said. I dont really know why, it just works so well. We practice it a lot. Were just going to try to come out with more fire and less nerves ... just try to let it fly earlier in the game. ' ' '
