Despite a poor rookie campaign, Blake Bortles remains the quarterback of the future for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bortles is hoping to play through a foot injury tonight against the visiting Titans, who havent tasted victory since beating the Jaguars in Week 6. Selected No. 3 overall in this years draft, Bortles has thrown eight touchdowns and 15 interceptions over 11 starts since replacing Chad Henne. The former UCF standout owns the NFLs second-worst passer rating at 70.6, and hes been sacked a league-high 41 times since Oct. 9. A lot of them are on me, Bortles said. Some are on the offensive line. Its on the whole offense. Its football, so you better be used to getting hit. In college, you can run around and do more stuff, but in the NFL guys are a lot faster and stronger. So its a little more difficult. You want to be able to get rid of the ball and live another down, not lose 5, 10 yards on third down and create longer field-goal situation. Those are definitely things Im working on.
