Undefeated is collaborating with Nike to release new Air Max 90 styles for this year’s Air Max Nike Air Max 95 Femme Day.

The Nike Air Pegasus 89 Donna streetwear brand and retailer gives the sneaker an update by blending different materials on the upper, such as nubuck leather and hairy suede as the base, with translucent and technical mesh panels providing a modern twist. Additional modifications include the restructuring of the upper, stretching the Swoosh branding on the sides and minimizing the padding in the tongue and heel to give the shoes a sleeker look.

Two colorways of the collab will be available, including a stealthy black colorway to highlight the depth of the latest variation and a vibrant blue-based makeup, which pays homage to throwback footwear and apparel from Nike’s ACG and running line.

This Saturday is Air Max Day and Nike have released a fresh set of the trainers to celebrate. Way back in 1987 Nike changed the trainer game when they introduced Adidas ZX Flux Womens the Air Max, fresh out the box with its now famous air bubble design. Tinker Hatfield was the chosen designer to give a new spin on trainers, and his design is still among the most popular today. Almost three decades later, Nike has enlisted Hatfield along with three other designers to craft new models that will take your trainer game to the next level.

Hatfield has added the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Superfly T to the legendary line, updating his original masterpiece. Of the new design he says, “everything I do is colored by my experiences. When I draw, it’s a culmination of things that I’ve seen and done to that point. When I was designing this shoe, I pulled inspiration from the United States and France. Each country has had considerable influence on my career, so that’s where you get the reds, whites and the blues”.

Hiroshi Adidas ZX 750 Dámské Fujiwara, acclaimed streetwear designer, contributes the Nike Air Max LD-Zero H that sees a combination of the “Nike Boston upper with the Air Max 2014 platform”.

Nike is launching vegan Air Max 90s made from sustainable materials like upcycled sawdust, recycled foam, and organic cotton.

The footwear giant’s new vegan sneaker is made in collaboration with clothing brand Maharishi in celebration of its flagship store opening in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood this week.

Nike also recently launched the Air Max 270 React Premium – an exclusive designed by Brooklyn-based psychotherapist and mental health advocate Liz Beecroft. The vegan shoes are called “In My Feels,” and call attention to mental health awareness.

The Maharishi x Nike Air Max 90 features an organic cotton upper in one color — Maharishi’s signature “maha Olive” — dyed naturally with pomegranate and turmeric. The outsoles are made from Nike Grind, a material created from recycled athletic footwear and manufacturing scraps. Nike’s signature checkmark Adidas Stan Smith Dámské logo as well as other details on the shoe feature sawdust made by grinding down shipping palettes for a woodgrain effect.

Founded in 1994 by Hardy Blechman, Maharishi is a clothing brand committed to making “environmentally sound, fair-trade produced, long-lasting, high-quality, utilitarian clothing.”

The sustainable fashion label made an impact in the 1990s, favored by celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, and Victoria Beckham. Its aesthetic combines utility clothes (Blechman worked in the army surplus trade prior to founding the brand) and Japanese aesthetic. Maharishi is largely credited with bringing functional military style to high fashion — think cargo pants, camo patterns, and the brand’s signature olive color.
